This is how we do it... 

High quality and durable Altro flooring is glued to the 12mm marine grade ply cut to fit the VW transporter floor shape. We treat all previous holes to prevent future rusting and clean the floor, Apply Silent Coat 2mm Damping Mat and add a double Foil aluminium bubble Insulation on top. 

12mm ply is glued to the floor and 9mm ply blocks are fitted to fill the gaps between floor ribs. 

For a better finish we also fit an edging trim, available in three colours , silver, dark grey and black. 

Materials we use

Silent Coat 2mm Damping Mat

Silent Coat 2mm Damping Mat uses mass loading to lower panel resonance and absorb structural vibrations, converting them into low level heat. Stop those nasty rattles, eliminate road and outside noise, insulate your vehicle and dramatically improve the sound of your car interior.

For best results we aim to cover approx 70% of all panels. Obviously before we even start, we clean your floor throughout and treat all holes left from previous ply lining or bulkheads with a  primer to prevent any rusting in the future.

Double Foil Aluminium Bubble Insulation

This exactly as it it sounds, a double layer of foil with insulation in between the two.

12mm Marine Plywood 

A high quality structural panel that performs well under extreme conditions. Cut to to fit the VW t5 and t6 floor shape. 

Altro Floor for VW Transporter
